Originally from Wisconsin, USA, Kim now calls Costa Rica home. She believes deeply in our ability to transform the world around us and sees the world itself as a classroom ready to be explored. With over 20 years of experience in youth program facilitation, educational initiatives, and 15 years in the travel industry, Kim brings a passion for creating community, empowering local partners, and crafting travel experiences that leave a positive impact. Her approach to travel is personal, ethical, and rooted in respect for the people and places we visit.

Alex is passionate about helping others develop strength, healthy habits, and values that support long‑term wellbeing. A physical therapist by profession with more than 20 years of experience, he moved to Costa Rica from Venezuela and quickly realized this place is not just beautiful — it’s healing.  Alex believes that travel in Costa Rica has the power to positively change lives, and that every traveler and partner has the potential to leave the world a little better than they found it.

Our guesthouse is warm, welcoming, and always immaculate thanks to our amazing Casa Alma team — Karol and Flory. They make sure our guests are well cared for, well‑fed, and ready for each day’s adventure. They also support our guides, drivers, and collaborators, making everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Both are proud Costa Ricans who love practicing Spanish with our guests — another opportunity for enriching cultural connection.
