Week 1 volunteer with a sea turtle conservation NGO in Costa Rica and Week 2 explore three Panamanian hot spots
Small group experience (Max. 16), standard service level, private transportation.
Medium level walking and hiking, suitable for active people. Nothing too challening.
Breathtaking beaches, waking up to sounds of the jungle, misty mountain mornings and visiting the Panama Canal!
Nesting season for green turtles on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is commonly between March & September. This is when the turtles come ashore to lay eggs on the beach. Please remember that the turtles are wild animals and sightings are never guaranteed, even during nesting season. The projects operate year round and vital work is always being carried out to support the conservation of the animals and their environment. In this unique experience, you'll be hands-on in the protection of marine and terrestrial life resources such as night patrols, beach cleanups, reforestation and more. Work varies.
